Isn't it amazing how our lives can change in an instant? How God's plan unveils itself at just the perfect moment to let us know without a doubt that He is in control? Well, Scott and I got to experience that this weekend...on Saturday, January 28th, our lives changed forever!! We got to meet two of the most wonderful, courageous, selfless people we have ever known, the birthparents of our soon to be born baby! Yes, that's right, we have been matched!!
After 7 long years of trying to have a baby of our own, Scott and I have been blessed to have been chosen by this young couple to be the parents of their child. We feel so blessed, so excited, and so honored to have been chosen by them to parent this precious baby. What an awesome responsibility and one that we couldn't be more ready for!! We absolutely loved the birthparents instantly-they are a darling couple-smart, funny, so cute, and mature beyond their years. Scott and I were so impressed with them and are thrilled that they liked us as much as we liked them!! What a relief!! :) We couldn't have imagined a better match!!
In 3 short months this sweet baby will make it's way into the world...funny since it has already made it's way into our hearts!! 1 Samuel 1:27 says, "I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him". Well this child has been prayed for...by me, by Scott, by our entire family, our friends, our coworkers. Virtually everyone we have ever known, has prayed for THIS child-the one that we would call our own. God is faithful, God is good, and God is always in control. I thank God for this child and I am so amazed that I get to be it's mom.
